British Embassy team visits orphanage

On 30 July British Embassy team visited the orphanage in Astana together with the "Roof of the World Rally" team travelling from London to Tajikistan with a charity mission. It became the third visit for the year, two previous successful ones were conducted with a great support from each member of the Embassy team.

About 25 children participated in games and crafting exercises organised by Embassy staff. Children have also enjoyed a story told by rally team about their adventures in more than 7 countries throughout the route. The highlight of the event was a joint tea drinking with English cookies and Kazakh traditional tea specialties. A cup of the traditional Earl Grey tea is something that rally adventurists share with everybody they meet on the way.

Both Embassy staff with travellers and children had a great time together.
