The final conference of the British ambassador to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Paul Brummell, was held on 16 SeptemberĀ in Bishkek on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission in these countries. Mr ambassador summed up results of projects being implemented in Kyrgyzstan.
The British diplomat started his mission in December 2005 and will conclude his work in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in Autumn of this year.
Mr Brummell also met representatives of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry. The sides exchanged views on the current state of and prospects for Kyrgyz-British relations during the meeting. The Foreign Ministry informed the British side about plans on reforming the state management system. Issues of regional security were discussed as well in the context of unstable situation in Afghanistan.
