Head of UKTI in Kazakhstan visited Karachaganak Petroleum Operating b.v., Western Kazakhstan (20/08/2009)
In a recent visit to Karachaganak Petroleum Operating company in Aksai, Western Kazakhstan, Bernie Wilson, the Head of Trade and Investment at the British Embassy in Astana, and Goulnar Gabdulova, the Deputy Head of Trade and Investment, participated in the presentation of Practitioner Corporate Awards Programme certificates to KPO staff working at the Contracts and Procurement Department. The Programme is delivered by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (Stamford, UK) within the framework of the local staff professional development programme initiated by KPO.
Karachaganak Petroleum Operating develops the Karachaganak field located in the West Kazakhstan Region. It is the largest oil and gas condensate field in the world. Under the Production Sharing Agreement concluded in 1997 for a period of 40 years the shares of the consortium's participants were allocated as follows: BG and ENI - 32.5% each, Chevron - 20% and Lukoil - 15%.
