The bilateral programme of contacts, training, seminars and courses conducted between the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan is part of the wider Defence Relations Activities Programme of the British Government.

The Defence Attache is the representative of the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence, and as such he liaises with the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan over participation in bilateral events. The United Kingdom/ Kazakhstan Bilateral Co-operation Working Group meets annually to determine the requirements for this Programme and agrees the activities for the following 12 months. As part of the bilateral programme, Officers and NCOs from Kazakhstan have participated in a number of seminars and courses in both the United Kingdom and at a UK training facility in the Czech Republic.
